Responsibilities
- Diagnostics and repair of drivability and electrical systems
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals
- Stay current with automotive technology through formal training
- Aid and train technicians/mechanics in technical activities
- Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least three areas within two years
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in brakes and hydraulics, steering & suspension, and tire repair
- Current certifications/licenses as required by federal, state, and local regulations
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical individuals
- Reading, writing, and math skills
