Automotive Sales Porter/Detailer - Mount Pocono Auto Park

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and communicative porter/valet to assist our sales team. This role offers potential to grow into service advisors, sales representatives, and more. Car dealership experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a welcoming, sales-oriented first impression by greeting service customers and identifying opportunities to enhance their experience
• Verify vehicle mileage and assist in positioning vehicles efficiently to support a smooth, high-volume workflow
• Assist with shuttling customers
• Assist salespersons and sales managers
• Wash vehicle exterior, clean interior and exterior windows, wipe down doorjambs, wax and buff when needed
• Clean/vacuum upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices
• Apply revitalizers, special-purpose cleaners, and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot- and stain-resistant chemicals
• Apply dressing on tires and tire wells
• Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operation; report these to the used car manager
• Restore appearance of engine area, rugs and upholstery, and painted surfaces by using touch-up paint, dyes, and other appropriate materials
• Use proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection
• Operate all tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe manner
• Maintain showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable condition at all times
• Ensure proper stickers are displayed in the vehicle
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Current and valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
• Positive attitude with teammates and customers
• Bi-lingual is always a plus
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing including a background check
