About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Repair Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and general repairs on trucks, trailers, and automotive equipment. This position is ideal for a dependable, hands-on mechanic with strong truck and automotive repair experience who takes pride in quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, including lube, oil, and filter changes, battery replacement, and routine service.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and chassis-related issues.
  • Perform general repairs and maintenance on trucks, trailers, and automotive equipment.
  • Inspect equipment and identify required repairs, replacement components, and parts.
  • Identify automotive, truck, diesel engine, and chassis components.
  • Research and source parts required for repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and efficient work practices.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area while following established safety procedures.
  • Work independently or collaboratively to complete assigned maintenance and repair work.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional, hands-on mechanical experience.
  • Strong experience with automotive, truck, diesel, or chassis repair.
  • Own professional mechanic tools, including a rolling toolbox or tool cart.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding, hands-on mechanical work.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance and mechanical repair procedures.
  • Ability to identify automotive and truck parts accurately.
  • Dependable attendance and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

Qualifications

  • Experience working on trucks, trailers, fleet vehicles, or heavy automotive equipment.
  • Diesel engine and truck chassis repair experience.
  • Shop-based mechanical repair experience.
  • UTI or similar automotive technical training.
  • Spanish-speaking ability.
