Automotive Production Technician

Description We are looking for an experienced and motivated Automotive Production Technician to join our dealership service team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Guest vehicles. The ideal candidate is productive, efficient, quality-minded, and motivated by a performance-based pay structure. You will work on a variety of vehicles while following manufacturer repair procedures and dealership quality standards. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair Guest vehicles accurately and efficientlyPerform routine maintenance and recommended servicesComplete brake, suspension, steering, electrical, and engine-related repairsPerform vehicle inspections and identify needed repairsUse diagnostic equipment and scan tools to accurately identify vehicle concernsFollow manufacturer repair procedures and technical specificationsComplete assigned repair orders within established time expectationsProperly document all work performed on repair ordersMaintain a high level of productivity under a flat rate pay systemPerform quality-control checks on completed repairsCommunicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle condition and repair needsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaProperly maintain and use tools and diagnostic equipmentStay current with manufacturer training, technology, and repair procedures Qualifications Previous automotive technician/mechanic experienceStrong mechanical and diagnostic skillsAbility to diagnose vehicle concerns accuratelyExperience working in a flat-rate environment preferredAbility to efficiently complete repairs while maintaining qualityAbility to use automotive diagnostic equipment and scan toolsOwn basic hand tools required for the positionValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityDependable attendance and strong work ethicAbility to work independently and as part of a team The workdays for this position are Monday through Friday, with a rotational Saturday. Our facilities are always closed on Sunday, and on designated Holidays throughout the year. This position is paid a base Flat Rate for each hour produced and can earn additional incentives on top of the base Flat Rate pay. The starting Flat Rate range for this position is $19.00 – $28.00+ and will be evaluated based upon relevant skills, training, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. The additional incentives are an additional production Incentive and a Guest/Customer Service Incentive, both based upon performance.
