Automotive Parts Counterperson

Responsibilities
- Customer & Parts Support
- Assist retail and internal customers with parts inquiries and orders
- Provide accurate parts pricing, availability, and order updates
- Communicate professionally with customers, service advisors, and technicians
- Answer incoming phone calls and respond to parts requests efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire parts process
- Inventory & Order Management
- Read and interpret parts catalogs to identify correct parts and components
- Pull and fill parts orders accurately from inventory
- Maintain organized inventory and assist with weekly bin checks
- Notify management of low inventory or out-of-stock items requiring immediate attention
- Locate and source parts from outside vendors when necessary
- Review body shop estimates to ensure parts and pricing accuracy
- Administrative Responsibilities
- Ensure all internal parts requests are properly billed on repair orders
- Process retail payments and credit authorizations
- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records
- Support additional parts department operations as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents
- Basic math and calculation skills including discounts, percentages, and pricing
Qualifications
- Previous Automotive Parts Experience Preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy when handling parts and inventory
- Willingness to learn and grow within the automotive industry
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
