Automotive Offline Technician- 3rd shift

About the role

The End of Line Technician will assemble various components in the manufacture of assemblies/sub-assemblies to deliver the final product. This role requires troubleshooting skills for components including battery electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain conscious awareness of risks involved in working on high voltage, high pressure hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Perform first-time installation of detail parts onto vehicles
• Reinstall all parts removed during assembly or troubleshooting
• Conduct functional testing of all assembled systems
• Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components using electrical and hydraulic diagrams
• Perform repairs identified during troubleshooting
• Ensure efficient operations and assembly tasks at different workstations
• Position and fasten subassemblies through torquing and assembling components such as wires, hoses, instrument panels, doors, handles, and underbodies
• Use manipulators and tools following standard work instructions
• Complete function testing and support validation checks
• Serve as the first line of defense by observing components through ongoing quality checks
• Assist in driving back defects to the point of origin and identify/implement corrective actions
• Maintain workplace organization (WPO), ensuring a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and 5S standards
• Follow best practices for safe assembly and testing of models/products
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 3+ years’ experience in automotive manufacturing
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience
• Advanced computer, math, and reading skills
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing environments and processes
• Ability to follow established methods and procedures
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) at a level above standard
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to provide guidance and support to peers

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or certification program in an equivalent field
• Four years’ experience as an assembler (preferably in the automotive industry)
