Automotive Mobile Diagnostic Technician

About the Role

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking a Mobile Diagnostic Technician to perform all-purpose duties, including applying technical knowledge to assist customers, handling inbound and outbound phone calls in support of Autel scanning units, answering technical questions about scanning procedures, and conducting research to resolve vehicle technology issues.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge to assist customers with vehicle diagnostics and repairs.
• Answer inbound and outbound phone calls in support of Autel scanning units.
• Address technical questions related to scanning procedures of the Autel unit.
• Conduct research to understand, explain, and resolve technology issues on vehicles.

Requirements

• 2+ years of prior experience as a Diagnostic Technician (I-CAR & ASE certifications preferred).
• Must currently have or be willing to obtain proper tools to successfully complete job duties.
• Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including background checks.
• Minimum age requirement of 21+ years.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

• Ability to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work through competing priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service skills for both internal and external customers.
