Job Description

Guarantee that the millions of transistors in a microprocessor are working and will continue to work for the next five years under any environmental conditions, and you must do it faster than it takes most laptops to boot up.

Learn the finer points of going from an idea for the next NXP microprocessor to having a fully qualified product shipping millions of units per month.

Work with very smart people with multiple specialties to understand what makes a microprocessor work, and more importantly what causes them to fail.

Draw upon your classwork for microprocessor architecture, logic design, design simulation, analog circuitry, CMOS transistor device physics, high frequency signal propagation, programming, statistics, and many other areas.
