What You’ll Be Doing
- Work on all types and sizes of vehicles, in addition to mobile tools and equipment.
- Keep Verizon fleet vehicles in top condition for readiness.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair all company-associated equipment, including aerial lifts, diggers, generators, tools, etc.
- Use computer test equipment to diagnose vehicle problems.
- Interface with vehicle users regarding repairs, questions, etc.
- Perform OSHA, ANSI, emissions, and state inspections on company vehicles.
- Obtain and maintain all required certificates or licenses.
- Work evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts based on business needs.
- Work tour hours are 2pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday (hours may vary).
- Overtime is as needed by the business.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a mechanic or relevant experience.
- CDL License or Commercial Learner's Permit (CDL required within 6 months of hire).
- PA State Safety Inspection License (or obtain within 6 months of hire).
- PA State Emissions Inspection License (or obtain within 6 months of hire).
- Valid state driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
Qualifications
- 5 or more years’ experience as a mechanic or other relevant experience.
- Must meet safety-related requirements including but not limited to those standards of safety imposed by OSHA, state agencies, manufacturers and/or the company.
- Must be able to perform physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation, including, but not limited to, lifting, carrying and maneuvering heavy equipment up to 75 lbs.
Skills
- Knowledge of automotive mechanics and repair.
- Ability to diagnose and repair various vehicle issues.
- Proficiency in using computer test equipment.
- Good organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.

- The compensation range for this position is between $773.50/week and $1,914.50/week.
- The salary will vary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
