Responsibilities
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform repairs and preventive care on cars, trucks, tractors, and construction equipment
- System Repairs: Carry out work on electrical, cooling, suspension, fuel, brake, steering, and driveline systems
- Safety Inspections: Complete official state safety and emissions inspections and prepare required records
- Field Service: Provide emergency road assistance and conduct maintenance and adjustments at field locations
- Equipment Care: Clean, service, and document maintenance activities to support safe and efficient operations
- Environmental Compliance: Follow environmental protection requirements and complete designated training
Qualifications
- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Special Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension. You must be a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Certified Inspection Mechanic for Class 1 vehicles. You must obtain a CFC-12 Refrigerant Recycling Certificate and a 134A Refrigerant Recycling Certificate upon hire and continuously maintain it while employed in this job.
- Additional Requirements: You must provide your own mechanics toolbox and basic tool set. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Work Schedule and Additional Information
- Work Schedule: Full-time employment with work hours of 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule is subject to change based on weather/season. Winter shifts are 4:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Telework: Not available in this position.
