Automotive Lift Team Supervisor
About the role
The Automotive Lift Team Supervisor leads and supports a team of Lift Technicians responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of vehicle lift equipment at customer locations. This role combines technical expertise with people leadership to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer expectations and Our Values.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support Lift Technicians in daily service, installation, inspection, and repair activities
- Schedule and coordinate field service work to ensure customer commitments and department goals are achieved
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex lift equipment issues
- Promote and enforce safe work practices and ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Build strong customer relationships by responding to escalated service concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Review customer needs and assist with preparing quotes for repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance services
- Monitor technician productivity, work quality, and completion of service documentation
- Conduct ride-alongs, field observations, and coaching conversations to support teammate development and performance
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management activities for Lift Technicians
- Coordinate tools, parts, equipment, and inventory needed to support field operations
- Partner with internal departments to resolve operational issues and improve service processes
- Review and approve timecards, PTO requests, and department expenses as assigned
- Maintain compliance with DOT requirements, vehicle maintenance standards, and company driving policies
- Aid in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, service quality, efficiency, and teammate engagement
- Complete administrative reporting, service documentation, and other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining lift equipment
- Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring technicians in a service or installation environment
- Experience working directly with customers in a field service environment
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical card or health card
- Knowledge of mechanical, troubleshooting, and technical repair skills
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with ERP systems, service reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience managing service schedules, labor planning, and field operations
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and service operations metrics
- Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems
- Experience supporting government, fleet, or industrial customers
- Physical demands: Frequent travel to customer locations and job sites, ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds occasionally, frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching throughout the workday, exposure to varying weather conditions, moderate noise levels, and industrial environments, ability to safely operate company vehicles, tools, and material handling equipment, combination of office, warehouse, and field service work environments
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Lift Technician Certification or ability to obtain certification
- Associate degree in a mechanical, technical, or related field
- Advanced lift certifications or manufacturer-specific training
- CDL or Class B license

Pay
The anticipated hiring range for the role is between $72,800 and $90,000 annually. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:
- Experience and qualifications: The depth of relevant experience and specific skills you bring to the position.
- Educational and certifications: Any additional qualifications that enhance your ability to succeed in the role.
