Automotive Key Technician-Trainee

About the role

As a Key Technician, you’ll work an assigned route of dealers and other customers, producing duplicate keys and transponders for vehicles. You’ll maintain equipment and inventory, submit invoices and work orders, and build positive relationships with customers.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical and electronic skills
• Sales and customer service experience
• Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, key duplication, and transponder programming (preferred)
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record

Pay

Starting compensation is expected to be $23.00 to $28.00/hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
