About the role

The Mobile Technician supports, grows, and maintains business relationships with dealerships and fleet operations in the Santa Maria metro area. This role involves developing and maintaining a weekly sales route to maximize profits, managing inventory, maintaining a company vehicle, conducting audits, and keeping accurate logs of sales stops.

Candidates with 2-5 years of experience in automotive, cable installation, route sales, or related fields are ideal fits.

Responsibilities

• Support and grow business relationships with dealerships and fleet operations.
• Develop and maintain a weekly sales route in your territory to maximize profits.
• Manage inventory and maintain a company-provided vehicle.
• Conduct audits and maintain accurate logs of sales stops.
• Perform key programming and automotive reconditioning tasks, including lifting car hoods, disconnecting batteries, and entering/exiting vehicles.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Enter and exit elevated van doors 30-40 times daily.
• Lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, squat, and stand for extended periods.

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak).
• Sales and customer service experience (commission-based sales experience preferred).
• Ability to work remotely without constant supervision.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years of age with a valid Driver’s license.
• Familiarity with computers, email, and internet navigation.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Safe place to park company van.
• Comfortable driving a full-size company van.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Mechanically capable and hands-on with technical challenges.

Pay

Compensation includes salary, commission, and bonus.

• Year 1 average: $50,000 to $60,000 per year.
• Average after the first year: $75,000 per year.
