Automotive Key Technician

About the role

Responsibilities

• Support and grow business relationships with dealerships and fleet operations in the metro area.
• Develop and maintain a weekly sales route to maximize profits.
• Manage inventory, maintain a company vehicle, conduct audits, and accurately log sales stops.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of automotive, cable installation, route sales, or related fields experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, squat, and stand.
• Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
• Physical endurance in varying conditions is a must.

• Automotive-minded, comfortable in a dealership setting.
• Hands-on and mechanically capable.
• Natural connector, able to introduce oneself and explain services.
• Pioneering, developing and owning routes, nurturing accounts.
• Self-directed, productive and accountable without constant supervision.

• Uncomfortable with strangers, cold and warm outreach required.
• Technology-averse, specialized software used heavily.
• 9-to-5 mindset, long days are part of the job.
• Sensitive to the elements, extended time behind the wheel.
• Sales-averse, closing deals is a core function.
• Opposed to driving, primary work vehicle is a full-size van.
• Disconnected from automotive work, routine tasks like battery disconnection.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is made up of salary, commission, and bonus. Year 1 average - $62,440/year, average after the first year - $81,320/year. Growth = Opportunity.
