Automotive Key Technician

Responsibilities

• Support, grow, and maintain business relationships with dealerships and fleet operations in your metro area.
• Develop and maintain a weekly sales route in your territory to maximize profits.
• Manage inventory.
• Maintain the company vehicle.
• Perform audits and keep accurate logs of sales stops.
• Lift car hoods, disconnect batteries, and enter/exit other vehicles.
• Work in all weather conditions.

Requirements

• 2‑5 years of experience in automotive, cable installation, route sales, or related fields.
• Go‑getter attitude.
• Sales and customer service experience (commission‑based sales preferred).
• Ability to work remotely without constant supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
• Familiar with computers, email, and navigating the internet.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Safe place to park the company van.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, squat, and stand.
• Ability to enter and exit elevated van doors 30‑40 times daily.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all seasons (hot summers, cold winters).
• Comfortable driving a full‑size company van as your primary work vehicle.
• Comfortable in a dealership environment and around cars and car culture.
• Hands‑on, mechanically capable, and curious about technical challenges.
• Natural connector who enjoys introducing yourself and explaining how your services solve problems.
• Pioneering mindset: take pride in developing and owning your route and nurturing accounts.
• Self‑directed and accountable without close supervision.

Compensation

The compensation package consists of salary, commission, and bonus. Year 1 average: $62,440 per year. Year 2 average: $74,571 per year. Average after the second year: $81,320 per year.

Monday through Friday business hours.
