Automotive General Service Technician/ Lube Tech

$18‑$25 per hour plus commissions

Responsibilities

• Perform tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balancing, and tire rotation.
• Conduct oil changes and other basic services under direction of the Shop or Store Manager.
• Observe general vehicle condition while performing services and report obvious repairs or safety concerns.
• Use the company’s multi‑point inspection and/or repair order to document vehicle condition.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop, service area, tire racks, showroom, and exterior of the building.
• Safely transport customers to and from their residence or business using the company vehicle.
• Pick up parts, supplies, tires, etc., from vendors or the corporate office using the company vehicle.
• Operate the company vehicle in a safe, courteous manner, obeying all traffic laws.
• Conduct state safety and emission inspections ethically, following company and state guidelines.
• Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to the Shop or Store Manager.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid, clean driver’s license (or obtain one within 30 days of hire).
• General understanding of under‑the‑hood, mechanical, and under‑carriage assemblies.
• Ability to work a minimum of five days per week, including weekends.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Exposure to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous or non‑hazardous substances.
• Temperature variations, including extreme heat or cold depending on ambient conditions.
• Stand up to eight hours per day and walk to access various areas of the building.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; full range of motion in arms and hands required.
• Lift and move up to 10 lb regularly and up to 50 lb frequently.
• Ability to hear and speak adequately; vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and refocus.
