Automotive General Service Technician
Job Summary
Tire Pros is seeking tire technicians to join our team. This position performs basic automotive maintenance functions.
Responsibilities
- Reviews repair order requests and makes visual inspection of vehicles to determine the extent of tire service requirements and materials needed
- Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services
- Installs valve stem and tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as required. Mounts tire on wheel assembly and inflates tires as required
- Test tire balances to ensure proper weight placement
- Performs short road test to ensure proper installation
- Performs basic automotive maintenance functions such as oil and fluid changes.
- Complies with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations
Requirements
- High school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience
- Preferred Experience: Familiarity with tire and lube requirements and specifications
- Knowledge of tire requirements to include use of wheel balancers, tire specifications, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems and some drivability diagnostic experience
- Certifications: Prefer TIA Automotive Tire Service (ATS) 200. Level 300 or 400 level a plus
