About the role
Automotive General Service Technician – Hiring Now | AAA Club Alliance AAA Club Alliance is actively hiring a General Service Technician to join our team! If you have hands-on experience with basic automotive maintenance and want to grow your career in a fast-paced shop, we want to hear from you. As a General Service Technician, you’ll perform essential vehicle services including oil changes, tire mounting and balancing, battery replacements, and multi-point inspections. You’ll play a key role in keeping our customers safely on the road while working alongside experienced technicians in a team-oriented environment. At AAA, we provide the training and support to help you build your skills and advance into higher-level technician roles.
Responsibilities
- Mount, balance, and install tires.
- Perform maintenance services including oil changes, fluid flush and replacement, belt and hose replacement, battery testing and replacement, and general automotive repairs.
- Conduct visual vehicle inspections and document findings.
- Maintain and clean shop equipment, including emptying and servicing portable fluid drains in accordance with shop guidelines.
- Continuously build automotive knowledge and technical skills to support future career growth.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems; familiarity with PC-based diagnostic tools a plus.
- Prior automotive maintenance or repair experience strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license strongly preferred.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with the team.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Authorized to work in the USA.
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings if offered a position (background, drug, fitness for duty).
Skills
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems.
- Familiarity with PC-based diagnostic tools.
Benefits
- Competitive Pay: $18.00 – $25.32/hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
- Schedule: Full-time, 5 days/week (Mondays, Fridays & Saturdays are often required). Sundays off every week, plus one other day off based on business needs.
- Training & Growth: Paid training, Paid ASE Certifications & opportunities to advance into higher-level technician roles.
Pay
Competitive Pay: $18.00 – $25.32/hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
Schedule
Schedule: Full-time, 5 days/week (Mondays, Fridays & Saturdays are often required). Sundays off every week, plus one other day off based on business needs.
