Automotive Flat Rate Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Drivability, electrical diagnosis, and air conditioning repairs
• Routine repairs and maintenance related to warranty, recalls, and scheduled maintenance
• Operate inspection software

Education and Experience

• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in an automotive repair environment, including heavy duty truck or automotive repair
• Must possess computer skills
• Must possess personal tools necessary to perform repairs

Prioritization

• ASE Certifications or tech school degree preferred but not required
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Ability to operate all shop equipment
• Self-motivated and capable of working efficiently with little supervision
• Excellent communication skills

Working Conditions

• The Automotive Technician will stand six to eight hours per shift
• Will lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds
• Will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, paint, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials
