Automotive Equipment Technician

Responsibilities

  • Follow Snap-on’s Safety priorities and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Use Rapid Continuous Improvement in day-to-day activities to increase organizational capacity.
  • Repair, maintain, and install equipment in assigned territory.
  • Assist Associate FST and FST employees with complex customer problems.
  • Manage customers’ equipment needs during and after warranty periods.
  • Sell contracts, update/upgrades, and parts in the assigned territory.
  • Schedule regular site visits with customers.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as obtaining onsite customer signatures, inventory management, and fleet management.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a technical field, military training, or equivalent with 1-5 years of experience.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, and strong mechanical skills.
  • Knowledge of PC Hardware repair.
  • Ability to gain knowledge of products serviced by Snap-on Equipment, as well as internal procedures.
  • Ability to lift 45lbs and work in an environment where frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and sitting while driving is required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work from home and be a self-starter.

Benefits

Commensurate with experience.

Pay

$24-27/hr plus incentive pay that averages an additional $8,000-10,000/year

Schedule

Daily travel required (occasional overnight stays)
