About the role
Oshkosh Vocational Tennessee is seeking to build an extraordinary team of purpose-driven individuals. Located off Joe B Jackson Parkway, this new facility offers an escape from Nashville traffic.
Responsibilities
- Check and complete work processes for assigned tasks
- Assemble, install, route, and wire electrical parts
- Use hand tools including drills, hole saws, crimpers, wire cutters, strippers, electric drivers, etc.
- Drill, clean, and organize electrical parts
- Lift light and/or heavy parts on and off a cart, floor, shelf, etc.
- Read and interpret wire harness prints
- Read and interpret wire schematics
- Review work orders and schedules
- Assist with electrical reworks and repairs
- Assist in inventory of parts
- Avoid lifting heavy parts by assisting co-workers with heavy lifting
- Sweep and clean shop area
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Qualifications
- 1 or more years of relevant experience OR a High School Diploma or equivalent education
- Previous Electro-Mechanical Experience preferred
- Associates Degree in Automotive Mechanics or Electro-Mechanical or equivalent preferred
- Previous maintenance or operational experience preferred
- Previous experience as a Pierce team member or contractor preferred

- Remember task sequence and safety constraints
