About the role

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring an experienced Automotive + Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join their team in Nashville, TN.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
  • Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
  • Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing automotive & diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
  • Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position

Qualifications

  • Ability to successfully pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and DOT physical if required for the role

  • Physical demands: frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces
  • Weather conditions: regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment, working at heights using ladders or elevated platforms, and working in various weather conditions
  • Work environment: ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace

Pay & Schedule

  • Pay $28.00 - $35.00/hour (based on experience)
  • Pay Frequency: Weekly pay - every Friday
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 600am-230pm
