About the role
Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring an experienced Automotive + Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join their team in Nashville, TN.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light to medium duty fleet vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
- Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations
Requirements
- 5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing automotive & diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position
Qualifications
- Ability to successfully pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and DOT physical if required for the role

- Physical demands: frequent movement such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, and sitting for extended periods, as well as lifting heavy objects and accessing tight or confined spaces
- Weather conditions: regular use of hands to grasp, reach, handle, and operate tools and equipment, working at heights using ladders or elevated platforms, and working in various weather conditions
- Work environment: ability to see and hear sufficiently to safely navigate the workspace

Pay & Schedule
- Pay $28.00 - $35.00/hour (based on experience)
- Pay Frequency: Weekly pay - every Friday
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 600am-230pm
What We’re Looking For
