Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cosmetic inspections to identify detailing needs and ensure vehicles meet CarMax quality standards
- Repair and replace small components, ensuring functionality and visual appeal
- Execute paint retouching, post-paint finishing, waxing, and buffing to CarMax quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following CarMax protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deliver exceptional customer satisfaction
- Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area
Required Qualifications
- Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicles safely
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in automotive detailing tasks such as washing, waxing, buffing, masking, sanding, and minor paint applications
- Familiarity with replacing small parts and performing minor cosmetic repairs
Pay
$12.00 - $18.00 per hour plus commission.
Benefits
Full-time hourly and commissioned associates are eligible to earn up to 48 hours of sick time per year, between 80 and 200 hours of vacation time per year after a 90-day waiting period (depending on years of service), 6 paid scheduled holidays plus 1 floating holiday, and holiday premium pay when working scheduled holidays. Full-time salaried associates receive paid time away with no specified limit for sick, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, holidays, and floating holiday subject to manager approval.
