Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Williamsburg

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated Full-Time Automotive Detailer to join our team at 713 Merrimac Trl, Williamsburg, VA 23185. This role focuses on upholding the highest cleanliness standards in the industry, ensuring vehicles meet exceptional safety and hygiene protocols for customer rentals.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, trucks, and vans.
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, safety, and readiness, including:
  • Checking fuel level and warning lights.
  • Inspecting windshields for damage.
  • Factory resetting/restoring vehicle settings to clear prior customer data.
  • Checking for customer items and placing valuables in Lost & Found.
  • Verifying registration is present, current, and matches the license plate.
  • Checking fluid levels and adding as needed.
  • Inspecting tire condition, pressure, and tread depth.
  • Inspecting vehicle exteriors for damage.
• Fuel and stage vehicles for rental readiness.
• Report any safety concerns, warning lights, or vehicle damage; remove vehicles from prep processing as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers as needed, including transporting them to and from branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including:
  • Cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, and trash areas.
  • Vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and cleaning bathrooms.
  • Performing other miscellaneous tasks related to daily branch cleanliness.
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years (total points on driving record cannot exceed 8).
• No drug or alcohol-related convictions on driving record in the past 3 years (e.g., DUI, DWI).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have at least six (6) consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience.

Pay

Starting rate of $17 per hour based on a 40-hour workweek.
