Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Parsippany

About the role

We are seeking responsible, dedicated Automotive Detailers to join our team in Parsippany, NJ (118 Baldwin Road). This position leads our commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, exceeding standard protocols to ensure the health and safety of everyone. You will wash, clean, sanitize, inspect, and prepare a variety of vehicles—including cars, trucks, and vans—to meet high cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.

Immediate openings are available for both part-time (25 hours/week) and full-time (40 hours/week) positions with consistent schedules. Multiple schedules are available.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks
• Inspect vehicles for the following:
  • Fuel level and warning lights
  • Windshield damage
  • Customer items (place valuables in Lost & Found)
  • Registration (ensure it is present, current, and matches the license plate)
  • Fluid levels (add as needed)
  • Tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
  • Exterior damage
  • Safety concerns or warning lights
• Fuel and stage vehicles
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers as needed, including transporting them to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including:
  • Cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, and bathrooms
  • Vacuuming and sweeping the lot
  • General branch cleanliness (e.g., trash removal, miscellaneous tasks)
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted U.S. driver’s license (ability to operate a motor vehicle is essential)
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
• Able to read, write, and understand English
• Living within a reasonable commute (no more than 1 hour) from 118 Baldwin Road, Parsippany, NJ
• At least six (6) consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience
• At least 18 years of age

New Jersey DMV Requirements: First-time drivers and those under 21 must complete the mandatory Graduated Driver License (GDL) program.

Pay

$17.50/hour (based on a 40-hour workweek). Employees can earn yearly merit increases based on performance.

Schedule

• Full-time: 40 hours per week (consistent schedule)
• Part-time: 25 hours per week (consistent schedule)
