Automotive Detailer - Car Washer -Latham

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated Automotive Detailer to join our team in Latham, NY. This full-time position upholds the highest cleanliness standards in the industry, ensuring the health and safety of everyone by washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles for customer rentals.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, safety, and readiness, including:
  • Checking fuel level and warning lights
  • Inspecting windshields for damage
  • Factory resetting/restoring vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
  • Checking for customer items and placing valuables in Lost & Found
  • Verifying registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
  • Checking fluid levels and adding as needed
  • Inspecting tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
  • Inspecting vehicle exterior for damage
• Fuel and stage vehicles
• Report any safety concerns, warning lights, or damage; pull vehicles out of prep processing as necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers as needed, including transporting them to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including:
  • Cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, and trash
  • Cleaning bathrooms
  • Vacuuming and sweeping the lot
  • Performing other miscellaneous tasks related to daily branch cleanliness
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted U.S. driver's license (ability to operate a motor vehicle is essential)
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship
• Able to read, write, and understand English
• Living within a reasonable commute (no more than 1 hour) from 357 Troy Schenectady Rd, Latham, NY 12110
• At least six consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience
• At least 18 years of age

Pay

Starting rate of $17.00/hour with yearly merit increases based on performance.
