Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Huntsville

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated Full Time Automotive Detailer to join our team. You will lead our commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, exceeding standard protocols to ensure the health and safety of everyone. Responsibilities include washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles (cars, trucks, vans) to meet high cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage
• Factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
• Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found
• Verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth
• Inspect vehicle exterior for damage and report any safety concerns
• Fuel and stage vehicle; pull vehicle out of prep processing as necessary
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including cleaning interiors and exteriors of branch locations (desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, etc.)
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years
• Candidates with more than 1 excessive speeding violation (26+ mph over the posted limit) in the past 3 years will be disqualified
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship
• Must live within a reasonable commute (no more than 30 minutes) from 6650 Hwy 72 W, Huntsville, AL 35806
• Must have at least six consecutive months of prior work or organizational experience

Pay

Starting rate of $15/hour based on a 40-hour workweek.

Two schedule options available:

• Option 1:
  • Sunday: OFF
  • Monday: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Wednesday: OFF
  • Thursday: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (every other Saturday)
• Option 2:
  • Sunday: OFF
  • Monday: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Wednesday: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Thursday: OFF
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (every other Saturday)
