Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Elizabeth City

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated Automotive Detailer to join our team at 1831 Weeksville Rd, Elizabeth City, NC 27909. This full-time position focuses on upholding the highest cleanliness standards in the industry, ensuring vehicles meet exceptional safety and hygiene protocols for customer rentals.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks.
• Inspect vehicles for the following:
  • Fuel level and warning lights.
  • Windshield damage.
  • Customer items (place valuables in Lost & Found).
  • Registration presence, currency, and match to license plate.
  • Fluid levels (add as needed).
  • Tire condition, pressure, and tread depth.
  • Exterior damage.
  • Safety concerns or warning lights (report and pull vehicle from prep if necessary).
• Fuel and stage vehicles.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers as needed, including transporting them to and from branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including:
  • Cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, and bathrooms.
  • Vacuuming and sweeping the lot.
  • Performing other miscellaneous tasks related to daily branch cleanliness.
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related convictions on driving record in the past 5 years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

Starting rate of $15 per hour based on a 40-hour workweek.

• Monday: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: Off
• Thursday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
