Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Downtown Grand Rapids

About the role

We are seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as an Automotive Detailer. This position is located at 1100 Plainfield Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI, 49503, and offers immediate openings.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols.
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior, including cars, vans, and trucks.
• Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, safety, and readiness, including:
  • Checking fuel level and warning lights.
  • Inspecting windshields for damage.
  • Factory resetting/restoring vehicle settings to clear prior customer data.
  • Checking for customer items and placing valuables in Lost & Found.
  • Verifying registration is present, current, and matches the license plate.
  • Checking fluid levels and adding as needed.
  • Inspecting tire condition, pressure, and tread depth.
  • Inspecting vehicle exterior for damage.
• Fuel and stage vehicles.
• Report any safety concerns, warning lights, or vehicle/windshield/tire damage.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors.
• Assist customers as needed, including transporting them to and from branches.
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including:
  • Cleaning desktops, countertops, phones, floors, and bathrooms.
  • Vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and performing other miscellaneous cleaning tasks.
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years.
• No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

$16.00 per hour.

Schedule

Consistent full-time, 40-hour per week schedule with two options:

• Option 1:
  • Sunday: OFF
  • Monday: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Tuesday: OFF
  • Wednesday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Thursday: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Saturday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
• Option 2:
  • Sunday: OFF
  • Monday: 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Tuesday: 7:30 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Wednesday: OFF
  • Thursday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  • Saturday: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
