Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Beltsville

Enterprise Mobility is seeking a responsible, dedicated person to join our team as a full-time Automotive Detailer at our Beltsville, MD location (10981 Baltimore Avenue).

About the role

As an Auto Detailer and Car Washer, you will lead our commitment to exceptional cleaning practices, exceeding standard protocols to ensure the health and safety of everyone. You will be responsible for washing, cleaning, sanitizing, inspecting, and preparing a variety of vehicles—including cars, trucks, and vans—to meet our high cleanliness and safety standards for customer rentals.

Enterprise Mobility is a leading provider of mobility solutions, owning and operating the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car brands. We offer extensive car rental, carsharing, truck rental, fleet management, retail car sales, and other transportation services to make travel easier and more convenient for customers.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interior according to industry-standard protocols
• Wash, clean, and dry the vehicle's exterior—including cars, vans, and trucks
• Check fuel level and warning lights; inspect windshield for damage; factory reset/restore vehicle settings to clear prior customer data
• Check for customer items and place anything of value in Lost & Found; verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate
• Check fluid levels and add as needed; inspect tire condition, pressure, and tread depth; inspect vehicle exterior for damage
• Fuel and stage vehicle
• Inspect vehicle for safety concerns; report warning lights, vehicle/windshield/tire damage; pull vehicle out of prep processing as needed
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; report unsafe or hazardous conditions
• Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to eliminate stains, pet hair, and odors
• Assist customers when needed; may transport customers to and from branches
• Help maintain overall site appearance, including cleaning interior and exterior branch locations (desktops, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, etc.)
• Seek to improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Satisfactory background check (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years; no DUI or DWI on record in the last 3 years)
• Under 25-minute commute (in rush-hour traffic) from Beltsville, MD preferred
• At least six (6) consecutive months of prior work/organizational experience
• At least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship now or in the future
• Qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered as required by applicable law

Pay

$17.50 per hour, with potential yearly merit increases based on performance.

Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Monday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 12:30 PM
• Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
