Automotive Dealership porter

About the role

Join the fastest growing Auto Group in the Chicago Area! An automotive porter, also known as a car porter, works at a car dealership to move and park vehicles, perform maintenance, and assist sales and management staff. This entry-level position can be a good way to get into the automotive industry. We have promoted within our store and are looking to fill a couple of spots. All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, drug test and a valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all vehicles are clean on the lot, showroom, and immediately after they are sold.
• Keep the lot organized.
• Wash, vacuum, and dry customer vehicles.
• Perform shop, service drive, and property clean up.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience working with their hands, preferably detailing cars or providing cleaning services.
• A high degree of attention to detail.
• Motivated to succeed and always do their best.
• A valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, drug test, and valid driver license.
• Professional appearance.
• Outstanding work ethic.
• Ability to work nights and Saturdays.
• Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment.
• Saturday and evening work is required.
