Automotive Body Technician
Job Summary
We are currently looking for a full-time Automotive Body Technician at Larry Puckett Chevrolet in Prattville, Alabama. This skilled labor / contractor position is a great opportunity to hone your automotive body technician skills in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs on automobiles, such as collision repairs, mechanical repairs, interior trim, alignments, tires, and other exterior and interior repairs
- Repair or replace defective parts according to manufacturers' instructions
- Reassemble and adjust all parts to working condition
- Inspect, clean, and adjust parts, such as brakes, transmissions, and steering
- Maintain tools and equipment in accordance with manufacturers' instructions
- Perform repairs in a safe and timely manner
- Diagnose problems, disassemble and inspect components and determine repair procedures
- Handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as an Automotive Body Technician
- Extensive knowledge of cars and their components
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A valid driver’s license
- Must have basic tools
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Willing and able to lift up to 65 lbs.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with the team
- Excellent problem solving skills
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be provided with professional training, while being expected to adhere to high quality standards of work. The ideal candidate will possess good interpersonal, communication, repair and problem-solving skills.
Pay
This is a full-time hourly technician position. The compensation will range from $17 to $30 per hour, and will be paid on a weekly basis. Compensation will be based on years of experience.
