Automotive Body Shop Technician

Nourse Chillicothe Automall is seeking a qualified Combo Body Shop Technician/Painter for our Collision Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.

About the role

This position requires an experienced candidate with 2+ years as an auto body technician, ASE and I-CAR Certification. The role involves comprehensive collision repair and refinishing work at one of the most well-equipped body shops in the region.

Responsibilities

• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical, and hydraulic window and seating equipment, and trim to gain access to fenders and other body panels
• Use a dolly to remove dents
• Fill depressions with filler using a putty knife
• Remove and replace damaged fenders, hoods, doors, and other panels
• Bolt or weld replacement parts in position
• Straighten damaged or bent frames with a pneumatic frame straightening machine
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces
• Refinish repaired surfaces with a paint gun and sander
• Aim headlights, align wheels, and bleed hydraulic brake systems
• Repair or replace defective mechanical parts

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record
• 2+ years of experience as a collision repair technician
• ASE Certification (required); I-CAR certification (preferred)
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Ability to take direction and execute team and company objectives
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time as well as work outside
• Ability to drive automatic and standard transmission vehicles
