Automotive ADAS Calibration Technician
Core Responsibilities
- Calibrating ADAS: Performing static or dynamic calibrations on systems after they have been repaired or replaced.
- Diagnostics testing: Using specialized diagnostic tools to test and analyze ADAS components.
- Following specifications: Adhering strictly to the manufacturer's guidelines and specifications for each calibration.
- Using specialized equipment: Operating calibration equipment that may include specialized targets, lasers, and computer software.
- Staying current: Keeping up to date with rapidly evolving ADAS technologies and calibration procedures.
Required skills and qualifications
- Technical knowledge: A solid understanding of automotive electronics, sensor technology, and vehicle diagnostics.
- Tool proficiency: Experience with OEM diagnostic tools, calibration software, and vehicle alignment systems.
