Automotive Accounting Office Clerk

Primary Responsibilities

  • Process vehicle deals and funding packets
  • Filer vehicle sales paperwork into deal jackets
  • Prepare and maintain trade-in vehicle jackets
  • Follow up on lien payoffs to ensure timely title returns
  • Issue stock numbers for new vehicle invoices
  • Prepare key tags, window tags, and vehicle folders
  • Scan warranty repair orders, parts invoices, and repair orders into the DMS system
  • Reconcile daily deposits and petty cash
  • Maintain organized office files and records
  • Communicate with Sales, Service, and Parts departments to ensure accurate paperwork completion
  • Participate in cross-training and support general office operations as needed

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma required; an associate’s degree preferred
  • Two years of automotive, power sports, RV, or motorcycle dealership experience preferred
  • Experience with dealership management systems (CDK or similar) preferred
  • A strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits, credits, reconciliations, and general ledger flow
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, or similar productivity platforms
