Key Responsibilities
- End of Month Statements: send invoices to clients according to company policies, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Deposit Reconciliation Processing: Record and post customer payments, including cash, checks, credit cards and reconcile accounts receivable ledgers.
- Collections and Follow-Up: Monitor overdue accounts, contact vendors regarding outstanding balances, and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate financial records, update customer accounts, and prepare reports on accounts receivable aging, payment status, and collection progress.
- Collaboration: Work closely with parts, service, and customer service teams to ensure accurate billing, resolve disputes, and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and relevant regulations; assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Organized and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills
- Numerical & Analytical Skills, perform accurate calculations & identify discrepancies
- Tech Proficiency, able to use & create spreadsheets, organize financial data
- Problem solving & Time Management, ability to prioritize tasks and resolve payment issues efficiently
- Automotive accounting experience is preferred, but will train the right candidate
