Automobile / Premises Liability Defense Attorney

Morrison Mahoney LLP is seeking a full-time Automobile / Premises Liability Defense Attorney to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for attorneys with 4+ years of civil litigation experience handling the defense of Automobile and Premises Liability matters. About the role

• Taking and defending depositions
• Preparing and filing dispositive motions
• Handling arbitrations and mediations (ADR experience)
• Preparing comprehensive status reports for insurers

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials
• Ensure meticulous compliance with all court deadlines and scheduling requirements
• Work closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to develop and execute effective litigation strategies
• Provide clear and consistent client communication, including regular updates and comprehensive written status reports
• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare strategic memoranda
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State Bar
• At least 4 years of experience handling the defense of Automobile and Premises Liability cases in the State of New York
• Ability to draft and argue dispositive motions, perform legal research, and respond to discovery requests
• Experience taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions independently
• Prior ADR experience handling arbitrations and mediations

Pay

Competitive salary range of $150,000-$180,000, commensurate with experience.
