About the role
As part of our global leadership in industrial coating technology, you will develop modular software architectures based on Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 for our coating systems.
Responsibilities
- Design new software architectures considering functional, safety, manufacturing, and economic requirements, and make architectural decisions for complex machinery and systems.
- Develop motion controls for single- and multi-axis systems, and handle parameterization and commissioning of drive technology.
- Implement high-level language-based HMI solutions, industrial communication protocols, and integrate sensors, actuators, robotics, and vision systems.
- Commission prototypes and complex special functions both in-house and on-site, and provide 3rd-level support post-project completion.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Automation Technology, or a completed vocational training with advanced technical qualifications.
- Strong knowledge in object-oriented programming (Codesys / TwinCAT 3), real-time systems, drive technology, and fieldbus systems.
- Ideally, experience with HTML5, JavaScript, C#, Digital Twin/Simulation, and IT/OT integration.
- Excellent German and English skills, with a willingness to travel approximately 20%.
- Ability to drive interdisciplinary projects forward with assertiveness, teamwork, and decisiveness.
