About the role
The Automation Test Lead will be responsible for leading the development and execution of automated test strategies to ensure high-quality software products. This role requires a deep understanding of software testing methodologies and the ability to drive innovation in automation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive automated test suites for various software systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
- Optimize existing tests and develop new test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Perform exploratory testing to identify potential issues that automated tests might miss.
- Document test plans, procedures, and results to facilitate continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Work closely with QA engineers to ensure consistent quality across all projects.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in automation testing and incorporate them into the team's practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in an Automation Test Lead role.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality automated test suites.
- Experience with popular automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or Robot Framework.
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.
- Experience with test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Understanding of software architecture and system design principles.
