About the role

The Automation Test Lead will be responsible for leading the development and execution of automated test strategies to ensure high-quality software products. This role requires a deep understanding of software testing methodologies and the ability to drive innovation in automation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive automated test suites for various software systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
  • Optimize existing tests and develop new test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Perform exploratory testing to identify potential issues that automated tests might miss.
  • Document test plans, procedures, and results to facilitate continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Work closely with QA engineers to ensure consistent quality across all projects.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in automation testing and incorporate them into the team's practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in an Automation Test Lead role.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality automated test suites.
  • Experience with popular automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or Robot Framework.
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.
  • Experience with test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Understanding of software architecture and system design principles.
