About the role

The Automation Technician is responsible for providing technical, mechanical, and operational skills needed to deliver outstanding results in the key areas of the automatic lines, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties in accordance with company and site-specific safety policies and procedures.
  • Run our automated production lines which include robotics, HMI screens, conveyors, automated packaging equipment, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and correct system material flow issues.
  • Troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and computer systems issues and escalate as appropriate.
  • Set up and verify the functionality and safety of equipment.
  • Operate production lines and equipment, including safety startup, clearing jams, manual operations, and format changes.
  • Conduct changeovers and equipment adjustments without mechanical support.
  • Achieve required efficiency and throughput on automated lines.
  • Measure and record data associated with operating equipment.
  • Can run your own operation, responsibility for all reporting (parts completion reports, downtime reports, etc.).
  • Work in a team environment.
  • Support departmental and organizational goals and objectives.
  • Follow all GMP and Safety requirements.

Requirements

  • You have a high school diploma or equivalent technical training.
  • You can communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • You have basic math skills.
  • You have basic mechanical skills.
  • You can understand and read HMI faults and troubleshoot information.
  • You understand PLC ladder logic.
  • You understand SMED.
  • You can understand and integrate equipment parameters.
  • You have a practical attitude and ability to learn new skills.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position may vary based on geographic location. Pay is based on several factors including knowledge, education, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, we may offer additional forms of compensation as part of a total compensation package, including a discretionary annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits.
