Responsibilities
- Aids in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of all Automated Material Handling systems.
- Uses advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
- Diagnoses mechanical and basic electrical problems using technical drawings.
- Minimizes downtime and unsafe conditions by performing preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Conducts routine inspections of material handling equipment.
- Assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues.
- Documents maintenance activities and repairs.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Assists in inventory management and spare parts tracking.
- Fulfills all OSHA and internal safety standards.
- Must possess a passport along with the ability to travel to Canada and Mexico.
Requirements
- 3 years' experience working as an automotive technician, HVAC system, elevator repair, electrician, building maintenance or experience working with machinery or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years working in material handling industry preferred but not required.
- Experience with CMMS platform a plus.
- Working knowledge of handheld and power tools and how to use them.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and basic electrical defects.
- Ability to interpret both mechanical drawings.
- Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented.
- Knowledge of safe industrial work practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Ability to work in and contribute to a team setting.
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Office.
- Ability to follow maintenance manuals and procedures to repair equipment.
- Assists in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all material handling equipment and components.
Qualifications
Must possess a passport along with the ability to travel to Canada and Mexico.
