Responsibilities

  • Aids in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of all Automated Material Handling systems.
  • Uses advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
  • Diagnoses mechanical and basic electrical problems using technical drawings.
  • Minimizes downtime and unsafe conditions by performing preventative and predictive maintenance.
  • Conducts routine inspections of material handling equipment.
  • Assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues.
  • Documents maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Assists in inventory management and spare parts tracking.
  • Fulfills all OSHA and internal safety standards.
  • Must possess a passport along with the ability to travel to Canada and Mexico.

Requirements

  • 3 years' experience working as an automotive technician, HVAC system, elevator repair, electrician, building maintenance or experience working with machinery or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years working in material handling industry preferred but not required.
  • Experience with CMMS platform a plus.
  • Working knowledge of handheld and power tools and how to use them.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and basic electrical defects.
  • Ability to interpret both mechanical drawings.
  • Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge of safe industrial work practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a team setting.
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office.
  • Ability to follow maintenance manuals and procedures to repair equipment.
  • Assists in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all material handling equipment and components.

Qualifications

Must possess a passport along with the ability to travel to Canada and Mexico.
