Automation Supervisor

About the role

Build Teams. Drive the Future. As Automation Supervisor, you’ll lead, coach, and develop a team of automation and electrical design professionals. You’ll foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, establish meaningful team metrics and performance expectations, and support employee growth through mentoring and development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of automation and electrical design professionals

  • Support employee growth through mentoring and development opportunities
  • Provide technical guidance in PLC/HMI programming, process control, CAD systems, and automation technologies
  • Serve as a key connection between Engineering and Service teams
  • Develop SOPs, work instructions, and templates to improve quality and consistency
  • Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency
  • Facilitate process reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, and other departments to deliver successful customer solutions
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information for diverse audiences
  • Help ensure seamless integration between automation, electrical, and mechanical systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent industrial experience
  • Proven leadership experience within an engineering or automation environment
  • Strong understanding of PLC/HMI development platforms and process control systems
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet critical project deadlines

Qualifications

  • Experience with SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley platforms and related automation software
  • Familiarity with CAD systems and engineering workflows
  • Experience with industrial equipment, manufacturing processes, power distribution, and control panel design

Skills

  • Technical leadership in PLC/HMI programming, process control, CAD systems, and automation technologies
  • Process improvement through SOPs, work instructions, and template development
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, and other departments
  • Clear communication and problem-solving skills

Pay

$98,000.00 Annually to $135,000.00 Annually Annually
