Automation Specialist, Senior

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• System specification, design, architecture, and development
• Team environment execution, working with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Industrial IT Consultants
• Excellent team player, people and mentor skills, with the ability to nurture/manage relationships with customers
• Direct experience and fluency with configuration of various automation systems (process control systems, safety instrumented systems, and fire and gas systems) including development code, ability to specify hardware and develop/modify graphics
• Understanding of the plant process in the Chemical, Oil, & Gas industry and basic unit operations to assist with the conceptual design of process control strategies for process modifications and plant expansions
• Implementing code, system simulation, operator training, and commissioning support
• Understanding of Automation, including PLC, HMI, DCS, SIS, Electrical Design, Instrumentation Design, and Industrial IT
• Proven track record of leading automation projects (from conceptual through commissioning) within the Oil and Gas Industry
• Developing standards, procedures, training manuals, and other documentation for projects or internal use
• Opportunity to lead a team and interface directly with customers

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• B.S. Engineering degree preferred
• 10+ years of related experience required
• Automation System training/certification a plus
