Automation Service Technician

Main Responsibilities

• Safety Training and Review
• Equipment LOTO and PP&E Review
• Review of Safe Access to Equipment
• Fall Protection
• Become Familiar with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Maintain Accurate Records
• Assist in Inventory Cycle Counts as Needed
• Maintain the Integrity and Efficiency of System Equipment Through:
• Preventive Maintenance
• Process Improvement
• Repairs
• Operational Needs
• Provide Technical Diagnostics and Hands-On Support
• Ensure Part Usage is Accounted For, and Inventories are Maintained
• Be Part of Continuous Improvement
• Work Alongside Outside Vendors and 3rd Parties
• Maintain Effective Communications with Operations and Internal Stakeholders

Requirements

• Ability to Lift 50 lbs, Perform Repetitious Arm, Wrist, and Hand Movements Required for Maintenance and Service Procedures
• Must Be Able to Work with Hands and Arms Overhead, and to Work in or Under the Equipment
• Requires Manual Dexterity, Overall Coordination, and Good Balance to Work Both at Ground Level and at Heights Up to 80 ft.
• Mental Alertness is Necessary to Ensure Safe and Accurate Completion of Work Activities
• Ability to Read and Comprehend All Labeling on Hazardous Materials and Equipment in the Facility
• Must Have Worked with Voltages Up to 480 Volts
• Be Mechanically Inclined and Have Mechanical Maintenance and Repair Skills
• Be Able to Read Wiring Diagrams and Electrical Instrumentation
• Be Able to Maintain and Repair the Mechanical Components of the System
• Be Able to Work with PLC Controllers and Be Able to Diagnose Faults and Repair
• Be Able to Use and Understand Computer Programs and Functionality
• Able to Learn New Information Quickly
• Be Able to Make Fine Adjustments to Controllers, Sensors, and Switches
• Have the Ability to Communicate, Make Sound Decisions, and Work Well Under Pressure

Qualifications

• Must Provide Own Hand Tools
• After 6 Months of Employment, Will Receive a $500.00 Annual Tool Allowance

• Strong Mechanical Skills
• Electrical Knowledge
• PLC Controller Experience
• CMMS Familiarity
• Good Communication and Problem-Solving Abilities
