Key Responsibilities
- Designs and Implements automation solutions to create the best solution to satisfy customer functional requirements, safety expectations, quality expectations, cost parameters, and internal specifications and standards
- Drives and provides overall support to ensure the following project milestones are met within the stipulated deadline: System Design and Procurement, Programming and Configuration, IO lists, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT), and Commissioning
- Works with assigned Regional Manager to manage projects from original project setup to customer acceptance
- Aides in the procurement process by creating Bill of Materials (BOM), preparing Requests for Quote (RFQ), reviewing vendor quotes and delivery schedules, and approving vendor invoices
- Collaborates with the Regional Manager to allocate resources at the project level to include identification or modification of resources and/or workforce deficiencies
- Captures and coordinates facility and well pad automation project work to be done by the assigned field support team
- Works closely with panel shop to design, improve and review control panel solutions
- Plans and implements Factory Acceptance tests with customers, including required documentation
- Plans and implements field automation solution commissioning activities, including Customer Acceptance Test
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field required
- 2 years experience in Oil and Gas, working with Industrial Control and Automation Projects preferred
- PLC experience to include ladder logic programming: ScadaPack-Telepace, AB, Fisher ROC FST, Production Manager preferred
- SCADA experience to include AVEVA, Ignition, or equivalent
- Disciplines such as PLC, HMI, SCADA, and AutoCAD preferred
- Panel Design and Construction experience preferred
- Experience with programming HMIs such as Red Lion, Beijer, etc.
- Ability to work with engineering and automation enabling software packages a plus
- Onshore Oil and Gas experience; Upstream in a multi-well facility and CPF environment setting, Midstream in a pipeline and plants setting, or both a plus
- Strong understanding of HSE processes and procedures involved in Upstream and Midstream settings preferred
- Must complete all Company required safety trainings
- Must be able to professionally communicate with employees, managers, customers and vendors
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time is preferred

Physical Requirements
- Frequent use of hand tools, electronic equipment, and machinery is required
- Precision and steadiness are essential for handling small components and performing delicate adjustments
- Must lift and move objects weighing up to 80 pounds
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling periods
- Close visual attention is necessary for reading schematics and detailed work on computer screens
- Good overall vision, with or without correction, is vital, including accurately distinguishing colors for wiring and safety signals
- Adequate hearing is necessary for safety reasons, particularly in environments with machinery and equipment where hearing auditory alarms and signals is crucial
- Technicians may need to access various locations within a facility, including climbing ladders, navigating tight spaces, and working at heights or in confined areas
- Willingness to work in diverse conditions is necessary, as technicians may be exposed to dust, noise, heat, cold, and outdoor weather conditions
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, hard hats, and, in some cases, respirators
