About the Role
Weiss-Aug is seeking a passionate and skilled Automation Manager to contribute to delivering high-quality, engineered solutions worldwide. In this role, you will manage the automation department, oversee day-to-day activities, and drive innovation in automation projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day activities, goal setting, performance management, and development of the automation team.
- Quote and design new automation projects.
- Serve as Project Manager for automation build projects, determining and recommending sensing and automation needs for all new engineering projects.
- Interface with outside vendors and automation suppliers to obtain quotes and manage purchases of automation equipment.
- Research and purchase new systems, equipment, hardware, software, and components.
- Perform hands-on programming, wiring, troubleshooting, building, and integration of automation systems.
- Mentor team members and support their career development goals.
Requirements
- Four-year college degree in Engineering (required).
- At least 5 years of experience in automation; design experience required.
- Management experience preferred.

Location: Fairfield, NJ
Pay
Pay range: $130,000 - $150,000. The base salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal consistency.
