Automation Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift

About the Role

This position is part of the general maintenance group that installs, maintains, and repairs automated equipment, control systems, and general equipment in the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Help install and repair all equipment throughout the facility, primarily focusing on automated equipment and control systems.
  • Diagnose, repair, and document issues with electrical, mechanical, and software issues to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and ensure all systems comply with safety regulations.
  • Assist with the upkeep and repair of buildings and grounds.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Associate degree in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or Electrical Technology preferred.
  • Certification from ISA (Certified Control System Technician – CCST), vendor-specific (Siemens, Rockwell, etc.), and OSHA preferred.
  • Hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.

Skills

  • Proven ability to quickly and effectively troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams of new and existing systems.
  • Working with cross-functional teams of Operators to Management to solve problems.
  • Excellent communication within a cross-functional team of Operators and Management to collaborate with Maintenance Technicians and Engineering for new system installation and continuous improvement projects.

Schedule

  • 1st shift: Monday - Thursday, 5am – 3pm.
  • 2nd shift: Monday - Thursday, 3pm - 1am with a shift differential of $3.00/hr.
  • Weekend shift: Friday – Sunday, 6am-6pm for a total of 36 hours with an added weekend shift differential of $4.50/hr.
