Automation Maintenance Tech

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is opening a state-of-the-art aerospace manufacturing facility in Mendota Heights—and we’re looking for an Automation Maintenance Technician who wants to be part of something from day one. This role offers the rare opportunity to help shape maintenance systems, standards, and reliability programs in a brand-new, high-tech plant.

About the Role

As an Automation Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our advanced manufacturing systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably from the very start. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, highly technical, and part of building something new from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Support a safe, high-performance workplace by following safety and environmental standards
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across automated equipment
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize uptime
• Document maintenance activity within our CMMS system
• Help establish and maintain a critical spare-parts inventory strategy
• Support startup activities, equipment commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Expand your skills through ongoing training, certifications, and exposure to advanced automation technologies

Requirements

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Technology, Electronics, Millwright, or Instrumentation & Controls (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs and VFDs (especially Allen-Bradley systems)
• Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
• Comfort working with Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Proactive mindset and desire to help shape maintenance systems in a new facility

Pay

Hourly Pay: $36.00 – $42.00 (based on experience)
