Automation Engineering Technician

About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Automation Engineering Technician to support our engineering and manufacturing operations. In this role, you will assist engineers in developing, testing, and improving products and processes. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, proficiency with technical tools and software, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a commitment to safety, precision, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Assist Engineering team in implementing new processes, equipment, and product designs
- Perform functional tests, collect data, and verify product quality against specifications
- Maintain accurate documentation: Update work instructions, TWI, test plans, and records for compliance and traceability
- Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems
- Provide technical guidance and training to operators and other team members on new processes or equipment
- Initiate and participate in continuous improvement activities
- Understand machine process and design through maintenance activities
- Use and knowledge of GD&T and PLM
- Exhibit pro-active safety behavior
- Compile engineering statistical data
- Work with machine and hand tools
Requirements
- Technical school certification or related fields
- 2-5 years’ experience in Industrial Manufacturing
- Robotics and PLC experience
- Laser welding experience
- SolidWorks experience
