About the role
Perform electrical assembly of new, custom-made automation equipment. This includes planning and layout of backplanes and wiring of custom control cabinets. Read schematics and Bill of Materials (BOM) to correctly wire and install all individual components, PLCs, drives, and motors. Recognize and address design deficiencies or malfunctions to enhance quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Layout, drilling, and cutting with hand power tools.
- Work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Inspect equipment for quality and safety issues.
- Work from electrical schematics.
- Work in unfamiliar environments (25%)
- Layout and modify custom panels.
- Work in other areas of the show as required.
Requirements
- Experience wiring Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), PLCs, Drives, and Motors.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Clean and organized.
- High school diploma.
- Forklift experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Speak, read, and understand English.
- Read and write proficiently.
- Own basic electrician’s tools.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand/walk for 10-hour shifts.
- Work in any position (reach, bend, kneel, etc.).
- Work in any environment (hot, cold, dusty, dirty, etc.).
- Normally see, hear, and talk.
